Dairy

The Challenge

Designing and fabricating large-scale custom valve manifold systems for sanitary food processing requires precision, expertise, and close collaboration with each customer. Every system must be tailored to unique operational requirements while meeting strict industry standards for hygiene, performance, and reliability.

The Solution

S&F Machining and Finishing manages the entire process from concept to completion, providing a single-source solution that ensures quality, consistency, and efficiency at every stage.

Working closely with customers, the team begins by reviewing original P&ID documents and engineering drawings before developing detailed 3D CAD approval models. Through an interactive review process, designs are refined and finalized prior to fabrication.

Once approved, S&F fabricates manifold frames, hangers, and air headers, then expertly assembles and orbital welds complex systems that include piping, elbows, tees, reducers, valves, and specialized fittings. All welds, tubing, and fittings are polished to meet or exceed industry standards for sanitary applications.

Before shipment, every manifold is thoroughly inspected to ensure it matches approved specifications. The team also installs and programs valve control tops, completes wiring to junction boxes or I/O link blocks, performs water testing, and carefully crates each system for safe delivery.

The Results

For more than 20 years, S&F Machining and Finishing has successfully fabricated hundreds of manifold systems for a wide range of dairy and food processing applications.

By controlling every phase of the project under one roof, S&F streamlines production, reduces delays, and maintains exceptional quality throughout the process. This hands-on approach has helped build long-term customer relationships, generate repeat business, and deliver reliable systems that consistently meet end-user expectations.

In-House Manufacturing Advantage

Unlike shops that outsource key processes, S&F performs machining, fabrication, welding, grinding, and polishing under one roof. This streamlined workflow improves quality control, reduces lead times, and helps eliminate unnecessary production delays.

Our cross-trained team and lean manufacturing approach allow us to stay flexible, efficient, and responsive — even on complex or fast-turnaround projects.
